The Creative Arts

“ There have been many influences in the creation of my work.

N.W. Coast Native American, and Maori (New Zealand), legends, artwork and carvings, have played a very important part in my inspirations. Animal motifs are very important for me to incorporate into my carvings.”

“I work to satisfy my heart, rather than my pocketbook. Each piece becomes my child. I labor to bring their images into a visual and emotional form, whether it be with paint,  chisel or knife. After finishing a project, I must let the spirits rest, until it releases itself from my soul. No longer attached, it now becomes a completed work of art... amen.”
